Founded in 2014, we opened our studio at 1242 Mason St. San Franisco. We had 6 wheels, 1 kiln, and a chalkboard sidewalk sign out front offering pottery lessons for anyone in the neighborhood. Then in 2016 we moved to a larger 6,000 sq. ft. home on Pacific Ave to support our growing community. 50+ whees, 5 kilns, 500+ shelves and a whole lot of people to share our love of clay. In 2024, after 10 years of operation, we expanded again into a 10,000+ sq. ft. beatiful art space - our newest home at 747 Beach St. Manifesting our namesake, Clay By the Bay Pottery Studios now has views directly of the SF Bay and Golden Gate bridge. We still have that chalkboard sidewalk sign out front. Come see what we're all about.
